Emmaus Painting with Flames from Menorah

Emmaus painting reflecting flames from menorah

Recently “you asked ‘Where do you find God indoors?’ I feel God’s presence in many different situations. A special one is in the silence: being at home or in a church, with time for prayer and meditation. Then I often can feel God, can feel Jesus Christ be with me, and my heart starts burning.

“The picture I took shows a painting of Janet Brooks-Gerloff’s ‘On the Road to Emmaus.’ Jesus Christ is on the right hand of the two disciples. It seems they are ‘in flames’ from the reflection of the menorah candles.”
