“I recently visited Christchurch, a city where there is so much desolation with buildings and infrastructure so damaged after major earthquakes. But in the midst of all the hardship and difficulties faced by residents, springtime still bursts forth. These anemones were sprouting in a friend’s garden.”

I suffer with the people of Christchurch as you describe the devastation.
and I thank you for the breath of fresh air, in the form of the beautiful colours of the anemones, because here at the opposite side of the equator it is now pitch black already at three in the afternoon. Thank God there is spring somewhere giving hope of Resurrection.
How wonderful that there is always hope!
My friend in Christchurch has such a beautiful garden, though her home needs major repairs. But the garden is a haven of peace.
