“The potter at work always reminds me of Genesis 2:7—God forming us from the dust of the ground, into these earthen vessels for His spirit and life.”

When I was growing up in the Baptist church, one of the hymns was —
“Have Thine own way, Lord
Have Thine own way.
Thou art the potter
I am the clay.
Mold me and make me
After Thy will;
While I am waiting
Yielded and still.”
Thanks for sharing that, Kim. Songs across traditions use the potter image, which is helpful for many.
