“The picture was taken during my time of silence in a five-day silent retreat in the Jesuit Retreat House in Bukidnon, while I am looking at him in radiance of the morning sunshine. In my moments of silence for 10 minutes, I closed my eyes and find myself in God’s arms. He held me while I sobbed and said in a voice loud to my ears, ‘I love you, my child.’ Thus, I tried to capture the moment in my memory by sketching it in my journal notebook.…It is good to be away for a while from the hustle and bustle of the city. The time of silence is a grace of God. Thank God for the grace; I am learning to ask for it each time I pray.”
