“In 2008 I walked in France and Spain along the Camino route to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain, and this photo shows two friends from Quebec walking on the Meseta. There was time to talk quietly to God about my life as I walked rhythmically, for more than two months, in varied landscapes and changing seasons.
The woman pictured here was praying often along the Camino for a friend of hers who was dying, and she herself struggled heroically with a knee injury as she walked.
I talked to God in the landscapes, and I knew God in the heroism and love shown by this friend from Quebec.”
